Good News Weekly (8 February 2014)

I know I am really late with this.  It has been a rough week.  I had the flu and on top of that my lungs are kind of refusing to work.  I swear I am going to get them removed so I can beat the crap out of them.  In any case, things are going a little better and I got a great response from my call for good news.  You guys are amazing and find something good in life every day.  That is the point, isn't it?  So here it is.

Good News for the Week of 8 February 2014

  • My Psycho swam her first 1000 yard race on Friday night.  She did awesome.
  • Melissa's kids had their eye exam and no problems were found.
  • Josie and crew made their ever first glass fused bowls at the Y and it was above zero degree outside as well.  I remember those frigid days up in Northeast Ohio.  I miss you guys but not the weather.
  • Jen reports "The kiddo beat her goal time and came out of the pool tired but happy. She was the last one still swimming, but had a fantastically consistent race and had everyone cheering for her at the end."  I couldn't be prouder.
  • Shannon says that the East River Esplande was unexpected open.
  • Abbey set a PR in the 10k last weekend and it is finally raining in California.  Awesome on both fronts.  Perhaps they can take some of the polar vortex from the right coast.
  • The big rock that hit Susan's car only damaged the windshield.  She and the rest of the car are okay.
  • Pam's wonderful brother & his father in law were able to fix her heat at 10 pm last night.  It's a good thing because this may be the only time they use the heat in Texas.  Way to go Mike.
  • Pam reports again that Mathew did well in his singing program.  Way to go cousin.
  • Calvin won a winner take all Texas Hold Em Tournament last night! $8 in, $72 out. And he got to hold his friend Stefany's beautiful 6-day old daughter on Tuesday.
  • Helen has made it official.  Caitlin can no do cartwheels.
  • Chuck only needed one word for his good news. "Sushi"  Sounds delicious, perhaps we can go over to Morimoto's if he is ever in the Philly area.
  •  Martha had fun testing for her new belt at Master Seo' Tiger Kicks Taekwondo.  I think I know who to call to back me up if I get into a fight.
  •  Donna reported back that I am not in the ER and that I am to stay out of there.  That is my plan.
Well, that was a bunch of great news.  Not just good news but great news.  Tony the Tiger Ggggggreat news.  So many wonderful things are happening all around us but it seems like we are consistently being told that the world is falling apart.  Don't believe the hype and celebrate the good shit.
